The client brief//
|
Requested by nearby home owners a local council intended to install some pathway lighting, in the early planning stages it became apparent that the path was in fact located above a major sewerage network.
To be installed the lighting still had to meet Australian public lighting standards, but a footing depth of 300mm maximum was all that could be permissible. |
Ambi-FX LED lighting solution//
|
The solution became possible due to our ability to re-engineer lens's to project light further in a sideways direction.
Using advanced chip modules from our street lighting experience we were able to tune these lights to consume only 4 watts yet cover 10m of path 1.5m wide. Due to the design of the bollards the install was achievable from ground work to operation in just 3 days! With such low power consumption we then opted to solar power the path. The 200m path is now illuminated to higher than the required standards. The bollards are constructed of 4mm stainless steel for longevity and strength. To prevent damage from vandalism there are no working parts accessible from inside the compartment, and a custom key is required to open. |
